In the works for the New Year…

Before I tell you what’s in the works for HoPE, I would like to apologize for my absence. I know the HPE families are aware how ‘HPE life’ can take over, and this is the reason for my absence. My daughter, Abby, had surgery back in October, we moved 500 miles to a new city in November, and December was filled with the holidays and lots of doctors’ appointments.  I promise to get back into my blogging groove and offer more to HoPE in 2011! I would also like to thank Leslie for keeping up with HoPE, while my ‘HPE life’ was in full swing! Okay, enough about me and onto the things you can expect to see on HoPE in the near future…

New Year’s Resolutions: Leslie has an entry in the works about resolutions for the New Year.

Child of HoPE: I promised to feature a ‘Child of HoPE’ on a regular basis, but I have yet to post our first entry! We have selected the first ‘Child of HoPE.’ Her name is Julianna and she works hard to to bring HoPE to other children with special needs. Julianna is currently in the hospital, so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. We will be sharing her story soon!

Perspectives: We have enjoyed bringing you perspectives from the families of children with HPE. We plan on sharing more persepectives on HoPE! If any HPE families would like to submit their perspective of living with HPE, please contact myself or Leslie. Recently, Melissa the mom of Arthur, submitted ‘The Thirteen Days of Arthur.’ This was a very touching tribute to her son and perspective on the loss of a newborn with HPE.

These are a few of the things you can expect in the New Year. Of course, we will be bringing you much, much more! Please, check back soon for Leslie’s New Year’s Resloutions for 2011.
